James has over fourteen years’ experience advising private and family businesses in the SME market whilst being a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a registered Tax Agent.

His areas of expertise include taxation, financial reporting, structuring and asset protection.

James also has significant expertise in forensic accounting having prepared numerous business valuations for businesses in a range of industries as well as providing litigation support in commercial disputes and family law matters.  He has prepared numerous expert witness reports under the instruction of solicitors in such matters.

James is passionate about developing good working relationships with his clients and believes that good communication and understanding his clients’ needs are the keys in achieving this and in helping his clients reach their goals.

James volunteers in the non-for-profit sector. He has been a member of the Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO) Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee since 2014; and was appointed as an inaugural board member of ACSO subsidiary Housing With Conviction in 2015.  He is also the President of non-for profit organisation Playstation Inc. which provides occasional care services for children in the Boorondarra area.
